Makkah Ziyarah sites
Makkah Ziyarah gives pilgrims a chance to visit places connected to the early history of Islam.
These visits are not part of the main Hajj rituals, but they help many pilgrims understand the
life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the struggle of the early Muslims, and the meaning of patience,
sacrifice, and faith.
Common Ziyarah sites in Makkah:
- Jabal
al-Nour: The mountain where Cave Hira is located. This place is remembered because
the first revelation came to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ here.
- Cave of
Hira: A deeply significant place in Islamic history. The Prophet ﷺ used to spend
time here in reflection before receiving the first revelation.
- Jabal
al-Thawr: This mountain is connected to the Hijrah, when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Abu
Bakr (RA) stayed in the cave during their journey to Madinah.
- Jannat
al-Mu’alla: One of the historic graveyards in Makkah. Many respected figures from
early Islamic history are buried here.
- Mount
Arafat / Jabal al-Rahmah: A very important place in the Hajj journey. Pilgrims stay
in Arafat on the 9th of Dhul Hijjah, which is the main day of Hajj.
- Mina:
Known as the city of tents. Pilgrims stay here during the main Hajj days and perform
important rituals.
- Muzdalifah: Pilgrims spend the night here after Arafat and collect
pebbles for Rami.
- Masjid
al-Jinn: A historic mosque in Makkah connected with well-known events from the
Seerah.
- Birthplace of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: Many pilgrims visit this area as
part of Ziyarah, subject to access conditions and local rules.
Madinah Ziyarah sites
Madinah Ziyarah gives pilgrims a closer look at the life of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the early Muslim
community, and many important moments in Islamic history. These visits are usually arranged with
proper timing, group movement, and guidance so pilgrims can understand the value of each place.
Common Madinah Ziyarah sites:
- Quba
Mosque: The first mosque built
in Islam and one of the most visited places in Madinah.
- Masjid
al-Qiblatain: Known as the
mosque where the Qibla direction was changed.

to the Battle of Uhud and the sacrifices of the Sahaba.

al-Ghamama: A historic mosque

where the Prophet ﷺ offered the first Jumu’ah prayer after Hijrah.
- Badr
Battlefield: A major Islamic
